Minimum Standards for this type of Air Purification equipment.
All air equipment for Hospital and Care environments should use systems approved by the U.S. Food and Drugs Administration (FDA). Products like these that prevent disease etc fall into Class 2 as Medical Devices. Therefore, they all should be Class 2 FDA Approved Medical Devices. They should be clinically tested for performance and have high bacterial and virus kill rates in excess of 90%. They should have 100% efficiency at 0.3 micron size and have a CFM (cubic feet per minute) in excess of 100 at low speed.
